OVERALL THEME: HUMANITY

Our overall theme is humanity. You have three Acts to interpret its meaning and the role music plays in defining it. Think of them as the beginning, middle, and end of our film. Each Act focuses on a particular facet of our theme.

ACT 1: BIRTH - 4.24.08 – 5.14.08
 
Hey Gang, this is the winner of ACT I. I chose it for its simplicity. I'm also a Parent and it's a wonder having Children at that age as they discover the World around them. They have a fearlessness, they know in their hearts their Mommies and Daddies will protect them. As we move forward with Acts II and III we need to pick it up. Not enough of you are working with the materials that have been already submitted. I need more submissions of MUSIC, SOUNDS and TEXT. Please do not just submit video and still photographs. Also, it does not have to be 'One and Done'. Have FUN, send us a bunch of stuff. Looking forward to working with the materials of Acts II and III as we RAMP this up into Hyperdrive. ACT 2: LIFE - 6.12.08 – 7.2.08
 
 
Hello Gang, it's Spike Lee again and I hope everyone is doing well as expected with $4.00+ for a gallon of gas, the heat storms and the floods. Act II has just ended and we are now heading down the home stretch. Time is flying. I'm encouraged by the submissions for Act II, but I know I'm beating a dead horse when I say that we need way more collaboration. That's one of the main foundations of this whole thing – everybody working together. People believe me, it's not gonna hurt (Smile). Not only is it painless, it's fun at the same time too. We've only got the third and final Act to turn this thing around. It's not too late, we got time. I also want people to have numerous submissions, there is no limit. And yes, you do not have to have a Nokia product to be a part of this. Spread the Love. Spread the word. Tell your friends and family. We want and need a record turnout for the Final Act. The Winner for Act II is SUMMERTIME. I was struck by the Original paintings. Big up to you! This is Spike Lee and I'm out like Hillary (Big Smile). Be back in Act III.

CURRENT ASSIGNMENT
ACT 3: DEATH - 7.31.08 – 8.20.08
 
Death is our third Act. Focus on the somber aspect of death or consider it a celebration of life. There is no right or wrong angle - merely an opportunity to let music communicate your feelings. Once this Act wraps, Spike will start working on his final film.
